Come to the NETA Conference to learn, collaborate, and connect with peers from across public media, but when the sessions end each day, we encourage you to step outside and experience all that New Orleans has to offer. As we dig into what it means for public media to remain Rooted & Relevant, there's no better place to explore than a city known for its rich cultural traditions, vibrant neighborhoods, creativity, and resilience.
Whether you arrive early, stay a little longer, or simply take advantage of your free evenings, make time to venture beyond the conference. From live music and historic landmarks to world-famous cuisine and riverfront views, New Orleans offers something for everyone. Many local attractions, restaurants, and venues are also offering special discounts for conference attendees, making it even easier to experience the best of our host city.
Check out our interactive conference map of the area. With cultural attractions, historic sites, beautiful parks, shopping, and first-class dining all within walking distance (or a short street car ride), you're going to love visiting New Orleans! The map also includes conference and field trip venues; discounts for conference attendees; and necessities like nearby coffee shops and pharmacies.
