LEADERSHIP INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM

Join us for an interactive leadership summit from 12:00 - 4:00 PM. In-person only. Additional $250.

We'll discuss the seven traps keeping us stuck. We'll practice innovating together as we create what a new public media could look like. We'll share three innovative case studies from local stations with Q and A to dig deeper into the how and why. We'll brainstorm together how we can change weekly routines to stay open to disruptive thinking and subtle ideas.

All registered attendees will receive an innovation assessment in advance. Bring your results and sharpen your innovation skills with your colleagues.

You won't want to miss this impactful kickoff to the 2022 NETA Transforming Public Media Conference. This session is led by PBS Charlotte's Amy Burkett and NETA's Timothy Eernisse.

PUBLIC MEDIA DIVERSITY FELLOWS WORKSHOP

12:00 - 4:00 PM. By invitation only. In-person only. Additional $250.

In 2020, NETA and South Carolina ETV partnered with The Richard W. Riley Institute at Furman University to launch the Public Media Diversity Leaders Initiative (PMDLI), a five-day virtual program taking place over five months that provides leaders a forum to explore ways to address the pressing and complex challenges and opportunities around diversity, equity, and inclusion in public media. To date, the program has completed three nationwide cohorts and graduated 100 leaders of public media organizations.

As they complete the program and move to implement new principles and approaches in their respective organizations, the journey of learning continues through application and practice. To support continuous sharing across the network of graduates, PMDLI graduates are invited to participate in a pre-conference forum facilitated by PMDLI facilitator Juan Johnson, designed to reinforce key PMDLI tools and frameworks through examples and case studies.

Prior to the session, all PMDLI graduates will enjoy a lunch to connect, reconnect, network, and simply visit with friends.
